Since my early youth it was clear to me that I wanted to devote my time to traditional animation for a big company like Disney, Warner or Pixar. I painted during the whole day until I made the desition to study Fine Art. After five years learning and refining multiple drawing and painting techniques I didn't pass the final test but I developed my own style due to the close study of painters like Sorolla, Velazquez, Goya, Caravagio, Boticcelli, Rembrandt, Monet... thus culminating with my own impressionist version of “The Kiss” by Francesco Hayez.
Still a bit confused and undecided in what to do I researched a bit and discovered ESDIP (Escuela Superior de Dibujo Profesional), where I studied during three years different techniques for illustration, comic, traditional animation and graphic design. It was there when I knew the works by Brom and Frank Frazetta, among others, and at the same time my inspirations turned more obscure and pre-raphaelians.
During this stage I visited some spanish companies of traditional animation which, far from giving me hopes, disappointed me much, thus favouring my growing appeal for the graphical design; specially for programs such as the well-known Photoshop, so I slowly left aside the paintbrushes and strokes to devote more of my time to learn how to use different programs, read some books and tutorials.
After completing in ESDIP I studied a master in graphic design, web and multimedia at CICE, which now has been complemented with another one in web programming.
In parallel to my studies I combined some works as freelance (flyers design, business cards, customized websites, etc) and cooperated with the photographers Jose Manchado during almost two years and now with Roberto Molina in his personal projects and also in some common projects, not only as designer but also as model and stylist.
Such projects sometimes were inspired by the work of great designers nowadays (Blueblack, Laydementia...) or after looking at pictures by Lithiumpicnic, Morgana or Hard-works, to mention some examples at random.
But the most important part was to meeting Cribby, a great person and friend, with whoms I work hand in hand nowadays. She always has good ideas and her interpreting values have made of her my muse in several ocassions.
Both Jose Manchado and Roberto Molina are self-taught photographers who have investigated several sides in photography till they specialized in one field. The former did so in nude pictures and fetish whilst the latter specializes in one field and moves on to another one he finds more appealing or challenging until he masters it.
Cribby is a great and versatile model with a wide variety of expressions which took her to work with great phographers like Peter Diablo or Ecchehomo. She has the quality to impress everyone with her pictures. That's something that, from my point of view, not everybody is able to achieve.
